South Korean cosmetics exports soar; hit record high in 2021

Indeed, the rise places South Korea third in the world-rankings of cosmetics exports, trailing only France and the US. China was the biggest market for K-beauty, accounting for 53.

New $6.9m effort to make nanoparticle manufacturing in S'pore cheaper, more efficient

A new Singapore-based research project that aims to speed up the manufacture of nanoparticles – which are used in everything from Covid-19 vaccines to sunscreen and spacecraft – was launched recently. The $6.5 million effort – called the Accelerated, Manufacturing Platform for Engineered Nanomaterials (Ample) – will develop a manufacturing platform that can be rapidly scaled up to produce up to 100kg of nanoparticles a day.
