Event Recap: Transforming the Future of Cosmetics
Our recent hybrid event, a partnership between Jebsen & Jessen Ingredients, Innovacos, and Atta-ur-Rahman Institute for Natural Products (UiTM), was a resounding success, combining insightful presentations by Ms. Sonia Dini with hands-on workshops, all geared towards advancing sustainable practices in the cosmetics industry.
Sustainable Solutions for a Greener Earth
November 1st marked a significant step in our journey towards sustainable beauty. Our seminar and workshop, “Transforming the Future of Cosmetics: Co-create Sustainable Solutions for a Greener Earth,” a collaboration between Jebsen & Jessen Ingredients, Innovacos, and Atta-ur-Rahman Institute for Natural Products (UiTM), was not just an event, but a reflection of our commitment to a more sustainable world.
Insightful Beginnings
The seminar opened with a captivating presentation by Ms. Sonia Dini, Formulation Chemist & Technical Sales Manager at Innovacos, who emphasized the importance of climate change and its impact on the cosmetics industry. She introduced the audience to Innovacos’ remarkable range of cosmetic ingredients, each addressing specific skin and hair care needs. Key highlights included ReGENESEA® LS, celebrated for its anti-aging properties, Biooptimized™ Guava for enhancing skin health, and GinsenoLite™-G for its skin whitening effects. The discussion also featured the Activoil™ and Plant C-Stem™ solutions, which are tailored for improving hair health.
The seminar shone a light on the PolyAquol™ line, noted for its innovative emulsifying properties that enable the creation of stable and aesthetically pleasing cosmetic formulations. In contrast, the Innollient™ line was showcased for its unique emollient capabilities, offering enhanced skin hydration and barrier function, thus contributing to healthier, more resilient skin. The session highlighted not just the functional benefits of these ingredients, but also the sustainable practices behind their development and sourcing, reinforcing Innovacos’ dedication to balancing top-tier product effectiveness with environmental stewardship.
Hands-On Learning
Guided by Sonia Dini, the workshop offered an interactive and educational dive into practical formulation. Participants had the unique opportunity to create several innovative cosmetic products using Innovacos’ high-quality ingredients. The formulations included:
Cleansing Oil to Milk: Attendees crafted this transformative formulation, which begins as a cleansing oil and turns into a milky emulsion upon contact with water, demonstrating a fascinating change in texture while effectively cleansing and hydrating the skin.
DIY Water Gel using PolyAquol™ 2W: This session allowed participants to explore the versatility of PolyAquol™ 2W by creating a customizable water gel, offering a unique sensory experience and demonstrating the emulsifier’s efficacy.
Hydrating Waterfall with PolyAquol™ LW: Here, participants learned to utilize PolyAquol™ LW in creating a hyperfluid emulsion, resulting in a lightweight yet deeply hydrating product that showcased the innovative capabilities of the ingredient.
The workshop concluded with an engaging quiz, where participants could test their newly acquired knowledge and win exciting prizes, adding a fun and competitive edge to the learning experience.
